More Specialties

Here are a few suggestions that are continuously overlooked
by the physician and other billing firms.

  • missed modifiers for claims that have more than just an office visit and or procedure
  • not using the correct modifier (24 or 25) when the patient is being seen in the post-operative period.
  • A dx code attached to the claim that provides to the most descriptive code/descriptive body part
  • using dx codes that begin with Z are NOT appropriate primary dx codes
  • dx codes starting with the letter W are not acceptable dx codes for ins carriers. The codes can be for pip and workman’s compensation claims.
  • The more descriptive and precise the documentation or notes, the better! Give us details!
